Michelin-Star Restaurants in Dubai: How to Reserve a Table

How Michelin-star restaurants in Dubai actually fill up, and how we secure a table once public booking has closed.

Arrived in Dubai in 2022

The Michelin Guide arrived in Dubai in 2022, and the emirate’s starred restaurants now range from intimate tasting-menu rooms to grand dining rooms inside the city’s best-known hotel towers — a relatively young scene by European standards, but one growing quickly and competitively.

Why Dubai’s Scene Moves Fast

Dubai’s hospitality sector operates at a different pace than most cities its size, and that shows in how quickly its Michelin-recognised restaurants fill their books — a new opening with early star buzz can be fully booked for weeks within days of opening, and the city’s love of dining as a genuine event (rather than simply a meal) means weekend evenings at the most talked-about tables disappear fast. Business travellers moving through DIFC add another layer of demand on top of the city’s own dining culture.

Where to Start

What follows is the 2025 selection, which is the one currently in force. The fifth Dubai ceremony takes place on 6 October 2026 at Atlantis The Royal, so any list you read between now and then is describing a guide that is about to be replaced.

Three stars

  • FZN by Björn Frantzén, Palm Jumeirah — three stars within months of opening in October 2024. Twenty-seven seats across two floors, one fixed tasting menu, and a sibling to Frantzén in Stockholm and Zén in Singapore
  • Trèsind Studio — the first Indian restaurant anywhere in the world to hold three stars, which is the more interesting fact about Dubai’s scene than any of the numbers

Two stars

  • Row on 45 — Jason Atherton’s return to the city: twenty-two seats, a menu in three acts, served across three different rooms
  • STAY by Yannick Alléno at One&Only The Palm — modern French, and the steadiest of the four, holding two stars for a fourth consecutive year

The ceremony date matters for booking, not just for bragging rights. The weeks either side of it are the hardest of the year to get into anything newly promoted, and the easiest to get into anything that quietly lost a star.

What to Know Before Booking

Several of Dubai’s starred restaurants sit inside hotel towers with their own separate booking systems, distinct from the hotel’s general reservations line — worth knowing before assuming a hotel concierge automatically has access. Dietary and dress-code expectations can also differ from what visitors expect elsewhere, particularly around Ramadan, when hours and availability shift across the city.
