Exclusive Family Holidays: Journeys That Work for Every Age

Culture for the adults, a programme of their own for the children, and time together that everyone looks forward to

About DaDa Kids Tailor Made Family Holidays

Exclusive family holidays usually ask someone to compromise. Either the itinerary is built for the adults and the children are kept busy, or it is built for the children and the adults wait it out. DaDa Kids, the family travel programme of DaDa Travel Club, is designed so that nobody has to. Through our partnership, Perfect.Live members can book its private and small-group family journeys.

Every journey runs three programmes side by side: one for the adults, one for the children, and one the family shares. The level of comfort and service stays exactly where our members expect it, with more attention to the small things that matter when travelling with children.

Who Leads the Journeys

The guides are what set DaDa Kids apart. They are experienced guides and educators from the team of Yulia Desyatnikova, the educator behind London Gates and Gymnasium No. 1, with schools in Paris, London, Amsterdam, Tel Aviv, and Dubai. Many are artists, scientists and playwrights as well as teachers — people who know their subject and genuinely enjoy sharing it with children.

That changes what a museum, a city or a landscape means to a child. A gallery becomes a story, a market becomes a lesson in a new language, and a day in the countryside becomes something to build, draw, or cook.

How the Children’s Programme Works

Children are not simply kept occupied. Their programme is built around their age and their character, so a curious seven-year-old and a sceptical teenager have different days — and both come back with something to talk about. The aim is not to fill the hours while the adults do something else, but to give each child a journey of their own inside the family one.

Then the programmes meet. A private museum visit, a cooking class, or an afternoon outdoors becomes something the whole family shares, and it works because everyone arrives having had a good day on their own terms.

Where the Journeys Go

The collection covers cities and countries chosen for what they give children as much as adults. In Madrid, a three-day family journey takes in the world of Christopher Columbus, flamenco, and a private tour of the Prado. Paris is explored through its art, science, and history. In China the route moves between monks, pandas, and the Terracotta Army; in Japan it follows ninja, samurai, and manga. Sri Lanka pairs tropical modernism with the island’s nature, and London is combined with Oxford and the places behind some of Britain’s best-loved children’s stories.

Most journeys run on request, on dates that suit your family, and every itinerary can be adapted to your children’s ages and interests.

Private or Small Group

Families can travel on their own, with a private guide and a programme shaped entirely around them, or join a small group of like-minded families. The group format suits children who travel better with friends of their own age; the private format suits families who want every day to follow their own pace.

Why It Is Worth Doing Properly

The difference between a luxury family vacation and a tiring one is rarely the destination. It is whether the days were designed with each person in mind — the parent who wants an unhurried lunch, the child who wants to know how things work, and the teenager who needs a reason to put the phone down. That is what DaDa Kids plans for, and it is why the adults tend to enjoy these journeys as much as the children.

Where to Start Exclusive Family Holidays

  • Start with the children — their ages, interests, and the way they like to spend a day shape the whole programme
  • Choose between a private journey and a small group — the comfort is the same, but the rhythm of the days is different
  • Pick the destination around a story — Columbus in Madrid, samurai in Japan, or pandas in China give children a thread to follow
  • Plan around the school calendar — family dates cluster in the school holidays, so it helps to settle them early
