About the Las Vegas Grand Prix
The Las Vegas Grand Prix runs in November on a street circuit laid directly over the Las Vegas Strip, past Caesars Palace, the Bellagio and the Venetian. It is the only Formula One round held entirely at night, and the only one where the paddock and the hotel suite can be a five-minute walk apart.
What Makes This Race Different
Every other Grand Prix asks you to travel to a circuit. Here the circuit arrives at the hotel. The 6.2 km lap runs 17 turns through the middle of a working city, with cars reaching around 342 km/h on the Strip straight, and the whole weekend happens after dark.
The consequence is that where you stay is not a comfort decision but a viewing decision: the right room overlooks the circuit, and the wrong one is on the other side of a road you cannot cross for three days.
Where to Start
- Choose the vantage point before the hotel — grandstands along the Strip straight, the sphere section and the turn complexes each give a completely different race
- Assume the city is closed — closures start days ahead, and a hotel two hundred metres away on the map can be forty minutes away on foot
- Plan for the cold — November nights in the Nevada desert drop sharply, and this is a night race
- Book the restaurants at the same time as the race — a table on Saturday night after the race is harder to secure than the grandstand seat

Dates and Schedule
The 2026 race weekend runs 19-21 November, with the Grand Prix itself on Saturday 21 November. Practice and qualifying fill the two preceding nights.
Everything runs late by the standards of other rounds — this is a night race by design, with the main session starting in the evening and finishing well after midnight. The weekend rewards people who sleep in the morning.
Tickets, Grandstands and VIP
Access splits into three broad layers: general admission zones, reserved grandstands along specific sections of the circuit and hospitality with track views, catering and paddock-side access. The layers sell separately and at different times, and the hospitality tier is the one that closes first.
