A city built to be seen from the street, and best understood from fifty floors up
Rooftop Bars in Las Vegas: The Strip from Above
About Rooftop Bars in Las Vegas
Rooftop bars Las Vegas offers are not rooftops in the New York sense. The Strip is a line of very large resorts along Las Vegas Boulevard, about 6.8 km long, and the best vantage points are high-floor lounges and terraces inside those towers.
That changes how to choose. In Las Vegas you pick the view first and the resort second.
Rooftop Bars Las Vegas Offers: Choosing a View
The Las Vegas Strip is where the main luxury resorts stand: Bellagio, The Cosmopolitan, Wynn, The Venetian, Caesars Palace, Mandalay Bay, and others. A Las Vegas rooftop at one of these gives a view along the Strip, and a different one depending on which end you are at.
At the southern end, Mandalay Bay offers high-floor options. The Foundation Room sits on the hotel’s top floor and is described as an upscale private bar and dining club, with access linked to membership, which is exactly the kind of room where a concierge is useful. Also at Mandalay Bay, the property now called W Las Vegas, formerly Delano, is home to Skyfall Lounge at the top of the hotel. The lounge closed in July 2026 for a refresh in the W style, so we confirm its current status for your dates.

The Tallest Table in the City
The Strat is built around an observation tower 350 m tall, the tallest freestanding observation tower in the United States. The Top of the World revolving restaurant on the 106th floor takes about 80 minutes to complete a rotation, which makes it more of a dinner than a drink. Top of the World requires a reservation and an upscale dress code. The tower’s observation deck is on the 108th and 109th floors, and its hours vary by day, so they are worth checking for your date.
Among rooftop restaurants Las Vegas offers, this is the one where altitude is the point, with the valley beyond the Strip in view.
Where to Start
- Choose the view. The Strip from the southern end, the centre of the Strip, or the whole valley from the tallest tower. They are different evenings
- Decide between a bar and a dinner. A high-floor bar is for an hour at dusk. A revolving restaurant is for an evening
- Ask about access. Some of the most sought-after rooms, such as private clubs, restrict entry. A reservation or an introduction can be the difference
- Plan the evening around the resort. Las Vegas resorts are large and distances are longer than they look. Build the drink, the dinner, and the return as one plan
Timing
Las Vegas is a desert city, so the evening is the hour to be outside. The best rooftop experience is just after sunset, when the temperature has dropped and the Strip lights come up. Race weekends and conventions fill the city at once, so the dates matter. See our guide to the Las Vegas Grand Prix for how the city fills for a major event.
