Dutch Grand Prix: The Final Race at Zandvoort and Where to Go Next

The dunes, the banked corners, and the final lap of a short chapter — and a 2027 calendar that points elsewhere

About the Dutch Grand Prix

The Dutch Grand Prix is Formula 1’s race at Circuit Zandvoort, in the dunes about 35 km west of Amsterdam. It was held from 1950 to 1985, returned to the calendar in 2021 after a 35-year absence, and ran for the last time on 23 August 2026.

For anyone searching for Dutch Grand Prix tickets, the practical position has changed: the race has now been run, and it is not on the 2027 calendar.

Dutch Grand Prix 2026: The Final Edition

The 2026 race was round 12 of 23, and attendance across the weekend was 325,000. Lando Norris won for McLaren, his second consecutive victory, while Max Verstappen, the home favourite, crashed at the start and was out of the race. The promoter chose not to seek a contract extension, which is why this was the last scheduled Dutch Grand Prix.

Circuit Zandvoort itself is not closing. It continues to host other championships, and a Formula E double-header is scheduled there on 18-19 June 2027.

Dutch Grand Prix Tickets and Dutch Grand Prix 2027

There is no Dutch Grand Prix to buy for 2027. The calendar published for next season lists 24 races and does not include the Netherlands. Any listing that suggests otherwise should be treated with caution.

We do not resell tickets for any race. If you were planning on Zandvoort, the useful question is which round replaces it, and that depends on what you valued: the atmosphere of a crowd that fills the dunes, a coastal weekend with a city nearby, or simply a Formula 1 weekend done properly.

Where to Go Instead in 2027

The Belgian Grand Prix is on the 2027 calendar, at Spa-Francorchamps on 25 July. It is the nearest race to Zandvoort, and a natural choice for anyone travelling from the Netherlands.

Further afield, the season offers several rounds that reward early planning: Miami on 2 May, Monaco on 6 June, Silverstone on 4 July, Monza on 5 September, Las Vegas on 20 November, and Abu Dhabi on 12 December. Our guides to the Miami Grand Prix, Monaco Grand Prix packages, Las Vegas Grand Prix, and Abu Dhabi Grand Prix explain how each weekend works.

Where to Start

  • Decide what you wanted from Zandvoort. A coastal race, a home crowd, a European weekend. The answer points to the right replacement
  • Pick the round before the hotel. Race weekends fix the dates for everyone. Rooms, transport, and tables follow the calendar and not the other way round
  • Understand the hospitality options. Formula 1’s premium hospitality differs by circuit. Our F1 VIP hospitality guide explains what each tier includes
  • Plan the weekend, not only the race. Practice, qualifying, and the race are three different days. Which of them matters most shapes the whole plan
